VCC Information
Open since 2001, the Village Counseling Center (VCC) is a private mental health center which provides a comprehensive array of mental health services to adults, children, adolescents and their families. At VCC we strive to meet the needs of our clients by providing quality mental health care through unique and innovative programs. All clinical services are provided by experienced and licensed professionals and are adapted to meet the unique needs of each child and family. VCC adheres to a resiliency-based model that is based on developing each client’s strengths, needs and support system.
VCC's primary program, the Sexual Abuse Prevention and Treatment (SAPT) Program provides pioneering services and is one of the leaders in North Florida in the provision of services for children and adolescents with sexual behavioral problems (SBP). VCC staff have successfully evaluated and treated over a thousand children and juveniles with sexual abuse, victimization and sexual behavior issues. Our services aim to ensure the most favorable outcome possible for children who are living in the aftermath of child sexual abuse. Our goal is to help children transcend the trauma of early childhood abuse, learn appropriate sexual behavior and pursue safe, healthy and productive lives.

Welcome
The Village Counseling Center (VCC) in Gainesville, Florida currently provides assistance in over 16 counties in North Florida including Alachua, Bradford, Columbia, Gilchrist, Levy, Suwannee and Duval County. We offer a variety of services including counseling, assessments, training and clinical consultation.
We accept private referrals as well as clients through various contracts with many agencies including the Department of Children and Families, Department of Juvenile Justice (Circuits 3, 4 & 8) and Partnership for Strong Families.
